Islington Tribune - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 6 April 2007

My eight laws for cyclists

• I AM fed up with law-breaking cyclists. They must abide by the laws, which are:
You do not ride on the footpath.
You do not jump red traffic lights.
You do not go the wrong way in one-way turnings.
You do not ride through street markets or any markets.
You must have a lamp front and back in working order, and know when to use it.
You must have a bell on the handlebars in working order and know when to use it.
You must have proper mudguards on front and back wheels.
When pedestrians are crossing the road you pass behind them not in front of them.
These are the eight laws cyclists must abide by. I am a retired cyclist.
