In conjunction with Castlehaven Community Association (CCA), Camden New Journal (CNJ) and Envision, the 8th annual Camden Crawl is pleased to announce a new scheme promoting positive change through live music and the vibrancy and cohesion of Camden’s young people.

The official launch of The Castlehaven Project took place in December 2008 at Castlehaven Community Centre. Young people from the local area took part in an active consultation led by Envision, designed to make them reflect on the positive changes they would like to see happen in their neighbourhoods. Following the session, Camden New Journal launched this microsite and for the next month appealed to Camden residents to submit their ideas for potential community projects.

Two main projects have now been short-listed, focusing on the Castlehaven Community Centre itself and St Michael’s Church on Camden Road, click HERE for more details.

The recruitment of volunteers will begin Monday 9th February, we are looking for thirty volunteers aged 16-17 and a further thirty volunteers aged 18-21 to take part. Each young person will sign up for five hours volunteer work on one of the projects in return for a ticket to the Camden Crawl event and the opportunity to enrol in our mentoring scheme.
