THE points were shared in the big Islington derby on Friday as Angel battled out a goalless draw against Admiral in the Under-9s North Division.

After two defeats, Angel went in search of a much-needed victory in a lively encounter at Market Road.

Jack Cruise was in exceptional form in midfield, while team-mate Alex Gibson was a rock in the heart of Angel’s defence.

Admiral also had their chances, with Koby Walters and Max Bave both putting in commanding displays. But the player of the match without doubt was Admiral keeper David Daley, 8, who pulled off a string of fine saves to earn his side a point.

Primrose Hill are top of the Under-9s Division after making it three wins out of three with a convincing win over Islington All-Stars.

Rudy Law, Leo Haralambous, Bertrand Cassidy, Sam Bjarnason, Cameron Rennie and Tom Bacon all got their names on the score-sheet as the Hill run out 6-0 winners.
