ATHLETICO Annies were the big winners in Division One of the Camden Sunday League this weekend.

Not only did they score seven in their match against AFC Brasenose, but they also saw title rivals Phoenix and Reddot drop points following their 1-1 draw.

Hat-trick hero Lee Flynn led the goal charge for Annies (pictured) with a tremendous treble, while Dan Glaude scored twice in a one-sided game at Hackney Marshes.

Justin Morahan and Jack Shepherd were also on target as Annies wrapped up a 7-1 victory to net their second league win of the season.

The biggest game of the day was without doubt quadruple winners Phoenix taking on old rivals Reddot.

In an enthralling contest it was champions Phoenix who struck first midway through the first half when Gio Falzone cured the ball into the top corner from the edge of the area.

The Dots’ equaliser was late in coming – with less than 10 minutes remaining on the clock Phoenix defender Paul Dunne lost his bearings and put the ball into the back of his own net.

Both teams could have won it late on, with Aaron Clark forcing a great save from Dots’ keeper Kirk Cooke, while Jason Medford headed just wide at the other end.
