Camden hits top spot yet again at British Championships!

CAMDEN was once again the most successful club at the British Championships at the weekend after winning six medals and producing three out of the four national champions in the sabre.

Held in Sheffield, Jack Horrix started the success when he defeated club-mate Jonathon Webb 15-12 in the final of the boys’ cadet (under-17s) tournament.

Jacob Gander-Compton came third and Rubin Amsalem finished sixth out of 44 competitors.

In the boys’ junior (U-20s) competition, Soji Aiyenuro defeated club-mate Rubin Amsalem 15-11 in the final.
Cadet runner-up Webb also did well to finish fifth out of 66 competitors.

In girls’ junior event Aliya Itzkowitz won the title for the second consecutive year after outclassing Verity Ridgeon from Scimitar Fencing Club 15-9. Izabela Sosnowska also did well to finish sixth out of 39 competitors.
