Exhibition - 40x40x40:The Millinery Works annual exhibition

IMAGES of contemporary north London are among the artworks in this year’s exhibition of contemporary British painters, sculptors and ceramicists at Islington’s Millinery Works Gallery.
From Stoke Newington artist Eric Rimmington’s series of oil paintings of Clissold Park, including one of a young tree in spring blossom, to Nessie Ramm’s painting Muswell Hill (pictured) – a view over the rooftops and chimneys as dusk begins to fall – many of the paintings in the exhibition take a fond look at local landmarks.
Pop artists Sir Peter Blake and Patrick Hughes have also contributed as has Hampstead painter, printmaker and video artist Rosemary Clunie with ‘Energy Descending’, a face in green and blue.
There are glass works from internationally renowned artist Seven Newell, whose finely detailed images, etched on glass bowls and plates, have been collected by museums including the Victoria and Albert and the Corning Museum in New York.
