A DRIVER had a lucky escape from a dramatic crash in Camden Town this morning (Tuesday) after his car flipped on to its roof.

The green Ford Focus was left upside down after rounding the corner of York Way and Camden Road, opposite the Unicorn pub.

Police arrived at the scene at 10.50am and were later joined by fire and ambulance crews. Camden Road residents said the driver of the car seemed fine and was able to walk to the ambulance.

Traffic snaked back to Holloway Road while firefighters cleared the vehicle from the crossroads, which were reopened at 12.50pm.

A police spokesperson said: “At approximately 10:52 police attended a car that had collided with the kerb and overturned. No one was injured.”
