Boy hurt after being hit by bus in Gospel Oak

A BOY was in a critical condition last night (Wednesday) after being hit by a bus in Gospel Oak.

He was taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel after the collision with a number 46 bus at the corner of Malden Road and Southampton Road.

Andy Farmer, 45, who lives in Herbert Road, said: “As he was being lifted into the air ambulance I saw him moving, which is a good sign. He was aged around 6-9 years old.”

The top of Malden Road was closed yesterday evening.

A police spokesman said that officers were piecing together how the crash had occurred. “There are no other updates at this stage,” he added.
