THE curlers are out, the hair straighteners are set to full power, the heat is on.

A Camden Town salon is through to the finals of the British Hairdressing Awards, dubbed the Oscars of the hairdressing world.

HOB Salons in Jamestown Road is competing for three top prizes at the event, to be hosted at the Grosvenor House Hotel in November.

Akin Konizi, HOB’s creative director – pictured here with a model – hopes to secure the coveted Hairdresser of the Year title for a third time.
