Thornberry eager for early election, reports

Islington South MP Emily Thornberry has claimed her vote is "hardening" and suggested she would be happy for the nation to go to the polls within the next three months. As speculation mounted today (Monday) that the next general election may come earlier than the long predicted date of May 6, The Times reported Ms Thornberry as being one of a number of Labour MPs who would be in favour of going to the polls in March. She said: “I have always wanted to go for an early election. There is no doubt that our vote is hardening. You can feel it on the doorsteps. The vote is going back to Labour.”
