THE Islington Sixth Form Consortium (IC6) has repeated the impressive results of last year in achieving a 99 per cent pass rate for all A-level and Vocational courses.

Almost 50 per cent of all students achieved the higher A*-B grades.

Recruitment is up 35  per cent from 2010 with more than 700 students enrolled for 2011-12.

An IC6 spokesperson said: “We are absolutely delighted with the results. “We made a tremendous step forward with results last year and to repeat this whilst increasing our student numbers so significantly is an outstanding achievement and demonstrates the tremendous work of our staff and the mechanisms in place to support and monitor our students.”

This remarkable results record combined with ‘Outstanding’ grades achieved at Ofsted inspections and last year’s Value Added figures from Alps and CVA places IC6 in the top 10 per cent of all post-16 providers nationally.

Parents, students and staff at the four partner schools and Islington residents have much to cheer about.

The school is  particularly pleased with the number of students that have secured places at good universities especially with the increased demand this year before the increase in fees next year.

Each IC6 partner school has achieved a 99 per cent  or higher pass rate for Year 13.

Highbury Fields has achieved a 100 per cent pass rate for the last two years and both Highbury Grove and Central Foundation Boys’ schools have achieved 99 per cent pass rates for the last two years alongside their excellent Ofsted inspections.

St Aloysius’ College are also delighted with their first year’s results and look forward to these students progressing to Year 13 and welcoming the large numbers coming into Year 12.

Students interested in enrolling at IC6 in September 2012 are warmly invited to attend the IC6 Open Evening on Monday October 17 at the Emirates Stadium in the Royal Oak Suite from 5-7pm.

The Open Evening is a great opportunity to come along and meet the IC6 team who will be there to help in making important course choices.

It is strongly recommend students attend with their parents or guardians so that they get the most out of the evening.
