Classical and Jazz: Preview - The Proms at St Jude’s Festival in Hampstead Garden Suburb

ONLINE and postal public booking opens next Tuesday for the Proms at St Jude’s Festival in Hampstead Garden Suburb from June 18-26. If you prefer to book by phone, you’ll have to wait till June 1.
St Jude’s highlights include Dame Felicity Lott and Sir Thomas Allen, two of the country’s finest singers, singing lieder, songs from the show, operatic arias and duets.
Stacey Kent and her band are returning three years after her sell-out performance in 2008.
Maria Friedman, leading lady of Broadway and London’s West End, is making her debut at the festival.
Other attractions include an opera gala; a piano recital by Leeds prize-winner Alessandro Taverna; the Wihan String Quartet with cellist Raphael Wallfisch; and Carmina Burana sung by the choir of Merton College, Oxford.
