HIGHLY gifted young Azerbaijani violinist Nazrin Rashidova (pictured), 22, is playing at the Chapel of Lincoln’s Inn tomorrow (Friday) as part of a Lamentations and Magnificat concert in the annual Brandenburg Choral Festival.

She’s playing Bach’s Chaconne in D Minor for Solo Violin; Henry Purcell’s Violin Sonata in G Minor; and William Lloyd Webber’s Benedictus for violin and organ.

Choral works at the concert include pieces by Thomas Tallis, Purcell, Herbert Howells and Charles Villiers.

Born into “a family of crazy violinists”, Nazrin made her debut performance at the age of three in Baku, performing a year later with the Cairo Chamber and Symphony Orchestras.

She joined the Purcell School when she was seven and she’s just completed her Master of Music degree with Distinction at the Royal Academy of Music.
