Film director Tim Burton wins planning approval for house changes

FILM director Tim Burton has been given the go ahead to radically alter his Belsize Park home.
Burton, who lives off Haverstock Hill with his wife actress Helena Bonham-Carter, asked fpr permission to knock down a 1960s extension and replace it with a new building that is partly made from salvaged architectural features – including a Victorian cupola for it's roof. The Town Hall's planning committee, who heard the current building was delapidated, approved the scheme through unaminously on Thursday night.
