£1m bill to axe jobs at Royal Free Hospital

THE Royal Free Hospital paid out more than £1million in laying off NHS staff last year.

According to accounts published by the Hampstead NHS trust this week, one exit package amounted to £260,311.

There were 19 compulsory redundancies out of a total of 35 staff paid to leave the hospital.
