Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 3 December 2009

Don’t let the health and safety guys kill fireworks

• CAN we please have a campaign, just like with the Kenwood Concerts and Kentish Town swimming pool, to lobby Camden Council to reinstate the Primrose Hill fireworks?
Surely we are not going to let the health and safety mob grind us down on this issue.
I cannot find another splendid gathering such as this close by. (Alexander Palace is not exactly near, or convenient via public transport and it certainly does not have the same fantastic community spirit and feel about it.
Perhaps the crowds could be spread across the area somehow rather than having everyone concentrated in one place but the Primrose fireworks are certainly hugely missed by one and all so please help us to get them back for 2010. You would make a lot of people very happy.
