PLAYERS from Parliament Hill School in Highgate held their nerve to net glory in the girls’ Year 8 Football League.
Organised by Camden Sports Development officer Kirsty Pealling, the competition proved a huge success with scores of teams going head-to-head at the Cantelowes Sports Pitch.
After five weeks of action Parliament Hill managed to win the prestigious title, finishing just one point ahead of Highgate-based rivals La Sainte Union.
Gunner Girls lose focus in shock away-day defeat

Premier League
Sunderland 2, Arsenal 1

SUNDERLAND stunned champions Arsenal on Sunday when they came from a goal down to net a shock victory.
The Gunners looked to be heading for a routine win when Kim Little opened the scoring on 55 minutes with her 23rd goal of the season.
But the Black Cats hit back to seal a 2-1 win thanks to strikes from Jordan Nobbs and Kelly McDougall to hand Arsenal only their second defeat in 120 league games.

Point for comeback Kats

Greater London League
Division Two North
Katabella 3, Clapham Utd 3

Kats added another point to their tally on Sunday with an exciting and well-earned draw.
Katabella started with only 10 players owing to a car breakdown and had to battle extra hard in the first half. Two goals down at the break, the Camden-based side mounted a spirited fight- back with 11 on the pitch.
Helen Frazer reduced the deficit before Tamar Koch pulled the scores level with a neat left-footed finish. Clapham struck again to retake the lead, but Christine Hardie escaped three defenders and coolly slotted the ball home to earn Katabella a share of the spoils.
