Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 12 November 2009

Overground and Jubilee closures are devastating

• I AM writing to call on Transport for London urgently to review the sustained closures of the Jubilee and Overground lines and the devastating impact it is having on our local traders, business and residents, as well as commuters using the interchange.
I urge TfL, the Greater London Assembly Mayor of London Boris Johnson to initiate immediate and better co-ordination of the range of schemes in operation in West Hampstead.
I do recognise the schemes are intended to improve services in the long run, but they are currently appalling and unco-ordinated.
Many of us live and work here in West Hampstead and need these rail services at weekends as well as weekdays.
The closures for weekend after weekend, month after month, are damaging our businesses, livelihoods and our community.
