Going live Young DJs click with online audience

RADIO Castlehaven was all set up and raring to go nearly two years ago – only the financial backing was missing. Now, a cash boost means the Camden Town internet radio station is finally going online.
A fundraising drive by media partner Zenith Optimedia means youngsters at Castlehaven Community Centre, in Castlehaven Road, have been able to hit the airwaves.
Tia Brown and Paige Holmes, of Clarence Way, are among budding DJs who have worked out their playlists and shout-outs (“Don’t forget to save me some biscuits”). Tia, 12, said she would spin the tune Love Story by country star Taylor Swift, followed by Michael Jackson’s Man In The Mirror.
Director Eleanor Botwright said the station plans to record pensioners’ memories for broadcast online.
