Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 5 November 2009

Outrage at outage

• AROUND 1,500 properties were left without electricity for three days for the third time within a space of a year. (Electricity outage sparks anger as businesses suffer blackout, October 29.)
Most shocking is that to qualify for compensation, the public need to have no electricity for 18 hours running. This is utterly unacceptable.
Surely EDF are aware that there is a recession and this costs the public money as well as inconvenience. Neither residents nor businesses can afford this.
Therefore I would urge EDF to deal with this as soon as possible.
