Positively the PM
• WE refer to the front page article of the October 15 edition of the New Journal (PM gets a grilling from gran) and feel it does not truly reflect the meeting we had with the Prime Minister and Home Secretary.
It implies that the tone of the meeting was confrontational whereas it was very cordial.
A number of tenants, police officers and council officials had a very pleasant discourse with the ministers who listened to us and put forward their own views and solutions and invited comments.
We were very grateful and impressed that they should take time from busy schedules to come and discuss the problems experienced by the tenants of the estate face to face and deny they were “grilled”.
We feel your report was misleading and negative.
