Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 22 October 2009

Physio wait reduced after CNJ letter

• I WOULD like to reply to the head of physiotherapy at the Royal Free Hospital (Waiting time for physiotherapy, October 8). When I handed in my completed form for the MSK Clinical Assessment and Treatment service, on September 16, I too was bemused when I was told there would be a waiting time of two months for physiotherapy. I queried this at the time because I had been seen very quickly the year before. I was asked if I would like to see a member of staff to talk about the long wait. After some discussion about my physical problem, I was told I would be given an appointment in a month’s time. However, two days after my letter was published in the CNJ I received a letter from the physiotherapy department with an appointment on October 5.
I have since been seen twice. I have been assessed, diagnosed, treated, given appropriate exercises and another appointment. I am very happy and hopeful that the treatment and the exercises will make me pain free and in control.
