Camden Town
Town finally make their point

Premier League
Arsenal 8, Doncaster Belles 1

ARSENAL Ladies continued their climb up the table on Sunday with a resounding victory over Doncaster Belles at Boreham Wood FC.
The north Londoners, who had a delayed start to their season because of England’s progress in the European Championships, have still got to make up six games on current league leaders Millwall Lionesses.
The champions are well under way, however, after making it two wins out of two on Sunday by thrashing Doncaster. Gemma Davison gave Arsenal the lead, but the visitors hit back to level the scores through Liz Hansen.
It proved a temporary blip for the Gunners, who edged back in front within minutes when Davison scored her second of the game.
Two goals from Kim Little, accompanied by strikes from captain Faye White, Rachel Yankey, Helen Lander and Jennifer Beattie, completed a routine win for Tony Gervaise’s side.

Division One
Spurs Reserves 2, Camden Town 2

Camden Town picked up their first point of the season with a solid team display against Spurs.
The side have struggled in the top flight after promotion last term, and went into the weekend having lost all five of their previous matches.
It looked like it might be another miserable afternoon when Spurs took the lead towards the end of the first half. Camden Town rallied, however, and with Deena Blumenkrantz and captain Megan Worthing-Davies pulling the strings in midfield they were soon back on level terms.
Sarah Boyall outpaced the Spurs left-back before picking out strike partner Sophie Langman, who coolly tucked her shot past the keeper.
Tottenham retook the lead in the second half but the visitors hit back to earn a deserved point when star player Langman benefited from another Boyall cross to score her second of the game.

Greater London League
Division Two North
Garston 2, Katabella 2

A THREADBARE Katabella side were only able to grind out a scrappy draw against Garston Reserves on Sunday.
The Kats started the brighter and took the lead courtesy of a fine individual effort from Helen Frazer.
Garston came back strongly, however, and went on to take a 2-1 lead early in the second half.
Striker Frazer made sure that Katabella didn’t return home empty handed when she won and scored a penalty to grab a share of the spoils.

Home Counties League

HAMPSTEAD picked up a string of good results at the weekend.
The club’s under-10s beat Enfield Rangers 4-1 while their under-11s side beat St Albans 1-0. The stand-out result saw Hampstead’s under-12s beat Enfield Rangers 1-0 despite only having nine players.
