Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 1 October 2009

No snobbery

• ARCHITECT Eamon O’Sullivan (Letters, September 24) says Ken Livingstone, when mayor, ruled that “if a development has more than nine flats half must be affordable”.
He also said private and affordable units are normally served by separate entrances, staircases and lifts, but this is uneconomical within a small block.
There seems to be no fundamental reason for this separation.
I hope I am wrong in suspecting that the reason for this separation is snobbery.

Belsize Grove, NW3
