Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 1 October 2009

Rail crush

• I AGREE with Gill Rouse (September 3) and Pam Walker (September 17) about the seating arrangements on the new North London Line trains.
On a quick count I reckon that new trains have 112 seats compared with 200 in the old ones, a 44 per cent decrease.
So when the trains are crowded almost half the passengers who would be able to get a seat in the old trains won’t be able to do so in the new ones.
Only a PR genius (or politician) could try to sell this reduction as an improvement.
