Historic route 24

• LUCKY you, finding and old bell punch ticket for the 24 bus route (Tickled by piece of history, September 17).
You mentioned that all the same bus stops are in use.
Indeed, the 24 bus route, from Pimlico to Hampstead Heath, is London’s most stable bus route, its first being run between those termini in August 1912.
Thus the route is only three years away from its centenary.
