Watch out, thieves about
• AS a Camden resident I wanted to make others aware of what happened to me in Camden Town on Saturday.
I went to the new sports shop in Camden high street Sports Direct – the old Woolies, I know, we all miss it – and I had my son and the three children I care for with me.
While looking at trainers for my son, I had my purse stolen out of the back of my pram, with the two children in!
It contained three bank cards my photo driving licence and £90 cash, along with other various cards.
I phoned the police to report it straight away and also my banks, who were able to tell me how, when and where my cards had been used.
In the space of an hour they had managed to withdraw £1,400 from the actual banks and used one of the cards in a shop to the value of £190.
Through my own investigations and questions I managed to track down the shop they had used my card in and gained a description of the suspects.
There were three people, two black women over the age of 30, one quite tall, with
a leather jacket and a gold tooth, the other about 5ft 8in. A white male was with them, with very short hair, possibly a number one cut.
These people have obviously done this before and will no doubt do it again.
They targeted me and knew exactly the best and fastest way in which to get my money.
What scares me the most is that they did target me, and possibly had been watching me for a while before they stole from me.
Readers should aware of these people and the dangers out there.
