Jordan makes dream debut for Gunners

TEEN sensation Jordan Palmer-Samuels is confident he’s Gunner make it as a professional footballer after being offered a two-year schoolboy contract with Arsenal.
The highly-rated 14-year-old, who lives in West Hampstead, made a dream debut for the north London club when he scored a stunning hat-trick in an under-15s match against Leyton Orient.
In an ironic twist of footballing fate, Jordan’s timely treble secured a 3-2 win for Arsenal against an Orient side that had already offered the star striker a two-year deal.
The Hampstead schoolboy impressed coaches at the League One side during a six-week trial over the summer.
But before Jordan could sign the deal they offered him, he was taken on trial at Arsenal by Pro Touch Soccer Academy head coach Taff Islam.
Jordan again proved an instant success, and is now expected to sign a contact with former Arsenal hero Liam Brady, who is now head of youth development at the club.
Despite being a keen Manchester United fan, Jordan is delighted to be joining the Gunners’ youth ranks.
“This time last year I would never have dreamt that I would be playing for a club like Arsenal,” he said.
“It’s unbelievable, they have one of the best youth academies in Europe.
“I was over the moon when Leyton Orient offered me a contract, but the people around me kept telling me that I could play at an even higher level.
“I didn’t believe them,” he added. “I didn’t think I would ever be given the chance to join a team as good as Arsenal.
“My goal now is to continue to impress the coaches and hopefully I can go on to secure a scholarship with the club when I turn 16.”
