Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 3 September 2009

The ‘white knight’ motorcyclist who made our day

• MY wife and I hope this letter will be seen by a motorcycling “white knight” who came to our aid near Camden about midday on August 9.
We were driving from Norfolk to a 70th birthday party in the private gardens of Royal Crescent, Bayswater, when a water main burst on our route causing chaos, much delay and diversions. We ended up well and truly lost. We approached a middle-aged motorcyclist in green shorts to seek directions.
Having said that we were still well away from our destination and we would probably not find it, he put on his helmet, jumped on his bike and told us to follow him! An interesting, and exciting journey followed, but our “white knight” delivered us right to the garden gate and even indicated a parking spot to us! Regrettably we waved goodbye without obtaining his name and we do hope that he reads this letter and accepts our deepest thanks. You made our day.
