Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 3 September 2009

Councillors asleep on the job

• THE Save All Our Homes campaign exists to prevent up to 215 decent families being bulldozed out of their homes on the Maiden Lane estate, a demolition scheme introduced by our own ward councillors against the interests of their own constituents.

This was bad enough but now councillors, asleep on the job, have allowed council officers, whom they themselves control, to slash the funding to the excellent community centre which serves not only our estate but residents in the neighbouring streets as well. What has got into the Cantelowes ward councillors? Why have they again declared war on their own voters, and in an election year, too?
Suggestions can be recorded in our blog on the Save All Our Homes website: www.MaidenLaneEstate.org
