Feisty Ifeoma looks for a snappy return

TENNIS ace Ifeoma Kuchler will set her sights on a speedy return to success after being beaten in the semi-finals of the AEGON British Junior National Championships.
Competing in the 12 and Under category, Ifeoma – who went into the tournament as the number one seed – lost 6-0, 6-3 to number three seed Lana Rush last Tuesday.
The result will only spur on the talented 12-year-old as she continues her quest to one day play at Wimbledon. The Camden Town youngster has already won countless trophies and is getting use to the pressure that success is bringing.
During the British Championships at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton Ifeoma said: “It can be tough being a top seed as there is more pressure, but I just try not to think about it.”
With her growing maturity and skill on the court, her dream of making it to very top is still very much a reality. From day one Ifeoma enthusiastically made it clear what her target was. “My dream is to make it all the way to Wimbledon, if I did that – it wouldn’t matter if I won of not. I’d just be so happy to be there and to play on Centre Court.”
