Today’s migrants

• I FELT Mr Haire’s letter rather poignant (When times were tough for the Irish migrants, August 20).
I lived in West Hampstead from 1992 to 1995 as a student, and would see in ads at newsagent windows
“No DHSS”. I wonder whether it is still the same, as there are more refugees and the unemployed these days.
