Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 27 August 2009

Respect to the Lion

• THIS is my tribute to Robert ‘The Lion’ Allan, who championed the cause of homeless people.
He died in June:
The first time I met the Lion,
I was broke and on the slide.
He gave me food and a roof
And said “Jah will Provide”.
He was a really decent person,
Who couldn’t do much more.
He was a friend to the homeless
And always knew the score.
So I miss you, Lion, my friend,
And my memory never will die.
Because as long as you are in my mind,
Jah will survive.
