Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 27 August 2009

Another victim of the Grafton Road trap

• LIKE many other drivers, I’m sure, I have also fallen into Camden’s Grafton Road trap.
As David Howard points out (Letters, August 20), the warning notices are difficult to spot particularly when you are concentrating on navigating the narrow roads in this area. I sent an appeal to the parking and traffic appeals service but it was rejected.
Camden’s weak argument was that a barrier (which used to be present) was a danger as drivers would crash into it! If there is any more blatant example of a road restriction set up to create revenue rather than serve a useful purpose in the UK, I would like to know about it!
