Businesses unite against Tube closures

BUSINESSES from West Hampstead agreed to launch a petition against weekend Tube and rail closures after holding a crunch meeting on Tuesday.
The West Hampstead Small Business and Residents Association, who met this week in the Garden bar in Broadhurst Gardens, after experiencing a dramatic loss of trade on weekends following the scheduled Jubilee Line closures. They plan to send their petition to Mayor of London Boris Johnson and are calling for parts of the line not being directly worked on to be re-instated.
West Hampstead and Finchley Road Tube stations have been closed on weekends for months and are due to stay shut until early 2010.
The London Overground line is also often closed for major work.
