Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 20 August 2009

Now invest in a police station fit for the 21st century

• WE now hear the news that Kentish Town police station has been given a reprieve by the Met Police Authority.
It’s been a hard campaign going right back to 2005 when the plans to close Kentish Town and Hampstead stations came to light.
Since then hundreds have signed our petitions and helped lobby – and we’ve also had great support from the New Journal. But the campaign must not stop.
The Holmes Road station is in desperate need of refurbishment for the 21st century. We’re calling on the Met to make the investment to give our hard-working police the modern station they need.
Cllr NICK RUSSELL
Liberal Democrat, Kentish Town ward
