Soccerettes! You too can bend it like Beckham
WE’RE backing the new drive to get girls playing football.
A series of free girls’ football sessions have been launched at the Cantelowes Gardens Astroturf Pitch in Camden Road.
And a warm welcome is promised for all eight to 14-year-olds at the Soccerettes Summer Soccer School which will give youngsters the chance to improve various skills, including dribbling, shooting, passing and ball control.
It will run every Tuesday and Wednesday throughout the summer, between midday and 3pm. There will also be senior sessions for women aged 16 and over on Wednesday evenings between
6-7.30pm.
