Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 30 July 2009

Coffee under the canopy

• PETER Cuming (Letters July 23) is a bit of a Scrooge about the Kentish Town canopy.
Personally, I think the refurbishment is a big success. Although street drinkers do use the new seats, lots of other people, by far the majority, now use them too. The motorised coffee shop is one of two traders who have paid for licences to trade there. Bah, humbug to canopy killjoys I say.
SUE PRICKETT
Leighton Road, NW5

PETER Cuming castigates the hard-working coffee cart owner who is legitimately parked near the Kentish Town canopy; his product does already “scent the area” and is much appreciated by residents at this end of Kentish Town.
PAT GIBSON
Secretary Highgate Road Residents’ Group, NW5
