Brockway legacy

• I WAS gratified to read John Gulliver’s “Blair meddling in the legacy of Brockway” (July 9). What an insult to the memory of that great socialist and peace campaigner. Fenner Brockway was in many ways responsible for me joining the Labour Party nearly 50 years ago. Tony Blair was the reason I left the Labour Party and that was before he was responsible for thousands killed in an illegal war.
