Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 16 July 2009

Just consider cyclists

• AS a cyclist who takes extra care when pedestrians are using the towpath ahead of me it annoys me when I see other cyclists speeding and riding recklessly.
I am also annoyed that it is always us cyclists that are targeted in the letters page.
It is not at all uncommon for pedestrians, especially joggers, deliberately to block the path and try to be nuisance to considerate cyclists. You might think you’re “getting your own back” but it’s not going to make cyclists more considerate towards you.
Motorists, motorcyclists in particular, break the law and drive dangerously all the time (for what other reason are our city’s roads covered in humps?) and their behaviour is much more likely to cause injury or death.
More consideration is required from all sides.
