Ace Danny tops his season as Master

POOL player Danny James topped off a winning season with victory in the Chalk Farm Pool League Masters at the weekend.
Danny had already tasted success with his doubles team-mate Sonny Saunders and pub team
Sir Robert Peel A, who did the league and cup double this season.
And the pool champion returned to winning ways again when he lifted the Masters trophy at the Boston Arms on Sunday.
Danny came through Saturday’s opening rounds by defeating Bradley Roberts of the Gloucester Arms A and Rory Cooper of the Boston Arms by 2-0 score-lines. In Sunday’s quarters and semis he defeated Mark Piercey of the Boston Potters 3-0 and Chris Heim of the Unicorn 3-2 respectively, before triumphing against Dave Dugdale of the Boston Rimmers by
4 frames to 1 in the final.

* The Chalk Farm Pool league’s official presentation evening will be held on Saturday July 18 at the Regent’s Park Tenants Association, Dick Collins Hall, Redhill Street, NW1.
