Goods line

• AS a regular passenger on the North London Line for almost 30 years, I certainly agree with George Downton’s (Letters, June 25) describing it as “a joke”.
However I don’t think that stopping the goods trains from using it would be much help. The line is among the heaviest goods transporters in London. Where would all the goods go? We don’t want them all on our roads.
