Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 2 July 2009

A long wait for justice

• FRANK Dobson MP rightly reminded us (Forum, June 25) of Camden’s proud history in the fight against apartheid South Africa.
How come the British establishment and big business propped up such a murderous regime, he asks? The same question should be asked today of the apartheid regime of Israel, where all are equal as long as they are not Palestinians. Frank had to wait some 40 years to see Nelson Mandela as the first president of a multi-racial, democratic, South Africa. Let’s all hope it won’t take as long to see either one or two multi-racial democracies in the land between the River Jordan and the sea.
