School has no site for September

GOVERNORS at the Frank Barnes primary school for deaf children have demanded answers from the Town Hall as to where their pupils will be in September.
The school, whose specialist curriculum is unique in London, have to leave their current site in Avenue Road, Swiss Cottage, in July as it has been earmarked for Camden’s new Academy school.
But with the move just six weeks away, the school is still waiting for confirmation about where they will be when the new school year starts.
Governor Mike Katz said: “July is approaching and we feel nothing has been resolved.”
A scheme to move it into Edith Neville school in Somers Town was blocked by governors.
But the Town Hall’s education chief, Conservative councillor Andrew Mennear, said yesterday he believed dovetailing the school with Edith Neville was still the best option, but other sites needed to be explored.
