Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 4 June 2009

Making a difference

• IT is heartbreaking news that our ward councillors, Anna Stewart and Nurul Islam are not standing for the local government elections in 2010.
I would like to congratulate both them for all their hard work over the past three years and no doubt over the coming year. Both of them will be sorely missed by Somers Town residents. Anna has been an excellent councillor as well as the Labour group leader.
She has tried her best to make a positive difference for Camden residents and not just those in Somers Town. We’re very proud of Nurul Islam who has been the first Bengali councillor for Somers Town and an excellent mayor.
All the best to both of them.
