Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 21 May 2009

Che’s exiled grandson

• WITH regards to your book review “How Che sowed the seeds of Cuba’s success” (May 7), your readers might be interested in comments by his oldest grandson, Canek Sanchez Guevara predicting “a complete chaos if the Cuban economy is not opened in a controlled way”.
Canek was born in Havana, where he became a rock musician. Fed up with constant censorship and harassment by the Cuban police he finally left Cuba for Mexico.
The Castro brothers have barred him from ever returning home.
