Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 21 May 2009

Switching parties

• LAST week I resigned as a member of the Camden Liberal Democrats and joined the Conservatives – not an easy decision.
I had high hopes back in the years 2000 to 2007 that the Lib Dems offered the right approach and vision for Britain, supporting the party’s stand on the Iraq war and civil liberties.
Here in Camden I firmly believe the Conservatives have the vision and business experience to deliver value for money while keeping the perspective on the achievable rather than spreading thinly a veil of open-ended, pleasing, gestures to the electorate.
In moving to the Conservatives I feel at one to help deliver the things that I care about nationally and locally in my Community here in Camden.
Nigel Rumble, NW3
