Two-goal Brandon fires Saints

Camden & Islington Youth League

HOTSHOT Brandon Ashtiani scored twice as St Pancras continued their improving run of form with a convincing win over Regent’s Park on Friday at Market Road.
Ashtiani gave the under-9s side the lead from close range after Joel Chileshe’s shot was saved by the keeper.
Regent’s Park hit back to level the scores, but Saints restored their lead with a neat finish by Matthew Luciano. Simon Tesfamariam added a crucial third for Saints, before Zakariya Gaunt scored a superb solo goal, beating four Park players and smashing beyond the keeper.
And there was still time for Ashtiani to bag his second of the game to take the Saints to a 5-1 victory.
On Monday Isledon Wolves and ‘A’ Class battled out a draw in the same age group. Nicky Marshall, Luis Noel and Dion Marshall all went close to breaking the deadlock for Wolves, but the game finished goalless.
Wolves enjoyed better fortunes in the Under-10s ‘B’ League with a 4-0 win over Futebol De Salao.
Two-goal hero Bassan Menhal led the charge. Eliezer Kafuti and Jason Rice were also on target.
