Camden New Journal - LETTERS TO THE EDITOR
Published: 23 April 2009

Care need

• CONCERNING your report (Parents’ claims halt inquest into death of baby, April 9)
Unfortunately, this family is not alone in going without care from the community support midwives. After my daughter was born last year, I tried a number of times to reach a midwife by phone, but no one ever answered or returned any messages.

I finally had to go to the maternity ward at the Royal Free to get anyone to see me.
I have several friends and neighbours with the same experience. I guess this just goes to show if you really need help, you’ll have to make the trip in to hospital to get it.
