Junior stars take to Fields

THE future looks bright for the Highgate Harriers after a string of junior athletes from the club impressed at their open meeting at Parliament Hill Fields.
Alex Badcott, 9, was among the top performers after winning the 600m with a time of 2:09.8. Arnold Harrison, 10, and Louis Mennear, 8, finished second and third respectively.
Speedy seven-year-old Olivia Sutton also topped the winners’ podium after recording a time of 11.6 seconds in the girls’ 70m ‘A’ race.
The competition last Wednesday proved such a success that organisers are already planning to hold another open meeting in September.
